The Victorinox “De Luxe” is a luxury model, made from 1980 to 1999. It is almost the same as the very common Classic, but has enameled brass scales with a marble pattern and gold trim. The scales are squared off at the top and bottom, so these knives are slightly smaller than the Classic (56mm versus 58mm).
The De Luxe knives originally came in a luxury gift box. There is also a gold plated version.
