This a pretty unusual Swiss Army Knife from the 1950s. Its model name probably was 653 G but the smooth alumin(i)um scales on this one are a much lighter shade than the, at that time, standard gold alox scales. Nowadays we would call this an alox Ambassador even though the more recent Ambassador model typically

This is a Victorinox Pioneer in an awesome shade of orange. It was a custom order for Schweizermesser-Shop and their logo is printed on the back.

This is an unusual Victorinox Money Clip. This model is usually only available with red or silver alox scales, although olive green an black also exist (and possibly others). This blue one was part of a 100 piece limited run for Austrian dealer knives-shop.at. Thanks Jan for getting me one of these!

This is a fairly old, 58mm blue alox Pocket Pal. This model usually had red alox scales, but apparently other colors were used on advertising knives. The Pocket Pal name is currently used for a 84mm model.

I really like the 74mm line of Victorinox Swiss Army knives. My EDC is a black cellidor Executive, but this one is an Ambassador which has only one layer and fewer tools. But a while back, after having been on a “SAK Break” for a few months, I stumbled upon one by accident. They are pretty uncommon so

I mainly collect 74mm and 91mm SAKs, but somehow I now own more 93mm alox SAKs than I thought I would. I have bought and sold/traded several more in the past (including a 2010 Damascus Pioneer, colored Classics, Farmers and Cadets, and of course a million Dutch Army Knives), and there is a mint old

I recently found this red old cross Pioneer in a hardware store near where I live. The blade is stamped 97; probably an overstock blade from a 1997 Soldier. This knife had probably been in that store’s display for years.
