Victorinox Tomo

Earlier this year Victorinox introduced the Tomo, a new model based on the popular Classic. The Tomo is designed by Kazuma Yamaguchi (Abitax) and comes in a range of bright colors. There is also a (white) pouch available. I really like the packaging which is made from recycled material, a bit like an egg carton. I believe the one in the picture was a promotional item, normal Tomo’s don’t have that “Original” text ;)

Victorinox Classic Limited Edition 2011

Victorinox has just announced a new series of Limited Edition Classic knives. They come in 10 different designs and will be available until June 2012. I like the Technology Trash design. But I don’t understand why it’s always the Classic that gets the fancy scales :( Victorinox, please make these scales available on the bigger knives! Or, just give us 91mm replacement scales like these ones! :)

Victorinox De Luxe - burgundy, with gift box

Victorinox De Luxe in Burgundy

The Victorinox “De Luxe” is a luxury model, made from 1980 to 1999. It is almost the same as the very common Classic, but has enameled brass scales with a marble pattern and gold trim. The scales are squared off at the top and bottom, so these knives are slightly smaller than the Classic (56mm versus 58mm). The De Luxe knives originally came in a luxury gift box. There is also a gold plated version.

Victorinox Zodiac Classic: Capricorn

This is a Victorinox Classic (Aries Capricorn) from the (original) Zodiac series. Knives from these series all have one of the zodiac signs inlaid on the front scale. They come in a red gift box with the same sign on the top and have a small key chain attached. I don’t know when Victorinox made these knives.
