Cellidor is one of the most common scale materials. It’s a nice, shiny type of plastic. Cellidor scales will warp/deform when exposed to high temperatures. Be careful when cleaning your SAKs and never throw them in the dishwasher.

Here’s a nice Victorinox Tinker. It has special soft grip scales with a Wabenmuster (honeycomb) design in black/gray. I think the scales are actually cellidor with some kind of rubbery coating. I bought these two SAKs on a trip to the United States. The one with the stars and stripes scales is a Super Tinker I bought in Portland, Oregon. The Boeing one is a Climber, bought at the Boeing plant in Everett.

Here’s a fun little gadget: it’s a refillable travel spray shaped like a 74mm Swiss Army knife. It even has a toothpick, tweezers and a key ring , so I guess it (almost) counts as a Victorinox SAK :) As a huge fan of the Victorinox 74mm line I just had to have this one.
